A round is a song that is like a merry-go-round. One person or group starts singing the melody of the song, another group starts singing the same melody about a sentence later and then a third group comes in with the same melody. A round goes round and round for as long as people want to sing it!
The rounds on this album were made up by people who lived about a thousand years ago and they would sing them in castles and while they were working in the fields throughout Europe and Russia.
This album can be used for listening, learning rounds, part singing and vocal technique.
